Special Warranty Due to Logistics
Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing SMOROBOT TANK X, as well as your support, trust and patience. Lately we heard from a very few users reporting product malfunction. Our R&D team and service team did a lot of investigations on the process of both manufacturing and logistics. We found the issue is resulted from excessive force of impact during transit.
The hardware design of SMOROBOT Tank X robots adopted multiple protection mechanisms in design to avoid damage during transit and normal use, and all the robots are 100% tested before shipping from the factory. However, they still might be affected by very bad transport conditions (e.g. fall from height over 1.5 meters), and cause potential problems in function. Most likely in the last shipment after customs clearance.
Thus we kindly remind all customers that upon delivery, please check if the package is damaged or folded. If you notice obvious damage or serious dent, photo it and send over to Product Feedback page in the Smorobot Community (community.smorobot.com/).
It is also the place where you can report product error (if any). You are encouraged to submit photos and/or videos for our R&D Team to quickly locate the issue. If you report the issue within 7 days of delivery and it’s caused by logistics, we’ll provide you with a new replacement.

SMOROBOT Limited Warranty - 24 Months
SMOROBOT is proud to offer you this warranty to ensure you derive enjoyment,confidence and pride from your SMOROBOT cleaning robot. Please read this document carefully as it sets out the terms of your SMOROBOT warranty.
If you experience any problem with your SMOROBOT cleaning robot during the Warranty Period, please contact us as soon as possible, so that we can assist with arranging the necessary services under this warranty.
Warranty Period: This SMOROBOT warranty extends to the first consumer/purchaser for a period of 24 months from the date of delivery/collection following the original purchase
(the "Warranty Period").
What this warranty covers:
1.This SMOROBOT cleaning robot has been manufactured, tested and inspected in accordance with carefully specified engineering requirements. It is warranted for the Warranty Period to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, subject to qualifications, conditions and limitations as described below.
If your SMOROBOT cleaning robot is required to be sent to a SMOROBOT authorized service station to be remedied, the warranty obligations of the SMOROBOT.
2.Authorized service station shall be limited to repair or replacement of the product or of any defective component, at the option of SMOROBOT. Such repair or replacement may include the use of refurbished components and/or units at the option of SMOROBOT.
Important points to note (including what this warranty does not cover):
1.This warranty is for manufacturing defects only.
2.This warranty covers only normal and reasonable use of the unit.
3.The following can impair your SMOROBOT cleaning robot performance and mayinvalidate this warranty:
- Non-manufacturing damage, defects, malfunctions or failures or any use which does not comply with the instructions in the Operator's manual, including your failure to obtain necessary maintenance where reasonable.
- Maintenance or repairs performed by any reseller, service station or person other than an Authorized Reseller or SMOROBOT authorized service station.
- The use of any electrical components other than originally manufactured by SMOROBOT.
4.Your SMOROBOT cleaning robot is designed to work in salty water up to 5000 P.P.M. The use of the unit in sea water pools will void this warranty.
5.To the maximum extent permissible under applicable law, SMOROBOT hereby disclaims any and all claims, and you release SMOROBOT from any and all claims for damage to any pool plaster or vinyl liner in your pool by reason of the use and/or operation of your SMOROBOT cleaning robot.
6.To the maximum extent permissible under applicable law, SMOROBOT shall not be liable or responsible under and circumstances or in any amount for any consequential or incidental damage, or for any damage to persons or property using or used in connection with the product, or for loss of profit or other costs or expenses of any kind of character. For the avoidance of doubt, this warranty does not exclude SMOROBOT's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraudulent misrepre-sentation.
7.To the maximum extent permissible under applicable law, SMOROBOT gives no other warranties or representations, either express or implied, whether of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or other than those specifically set forth in this warranty.
8.No person, firm, or corporation is authorized to make any representations or incur any obligations in the name of or on behalf of SMOROBOT, except as stated herein. The remedies set forth in this warranty are expressly understood to be the exclusive remedies available to the purchaser from SMOROBOT, and this warranty contains the full and complete agreement between SMOROBOT and the purchaser.
9.Variations that might apply to this limited warranty: some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations on implied warranties or specific exclusions, so some of the limitations set out above may not apply to you. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of these limitations is unenforceable, it should be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. If this modification is not possible, the relevant provision should be deemed deleted. Any modification or deletion will now affect the validity of the rest of this warranty.
FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, THIS SMOROBOT WARRANTY IS IN ADDITION TO YOURLEGAL RIGHTS IN RELATION TO YOUR SMOROBOT CLEANING ROBOT AND DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. IN PARTICULAR, THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXCLUDE OR LIMIT ANY MINIMUM LEGAL WARRANTY OR COOLING OFF PERIOD OBLIGATIONS AS MAY BE IMPOSED ON THE SELLER UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
